In the last year, I’ve encountered more and more vendor and customer contracts that contain AI addenda or AI terms, all meant to address the vendor’s use of the customer data. They address areas that have become common concerns with most companies: usage for AI training, confidentiality and disclosure, anonymization and aggregation, and other aspects relating to product development and governance. So, I decided to put together some thoughts, observations, and best practices for this next series.
Starting with my next post, I’ll be discussing how companies can leverage AI: use cases for your product or operations, commercial considerations when contracting for the use of AI, and best practices for companies to consider. Stay tuned!
